All of a sudden my daughter screamed, Ouch! She had gotten burnt by some hot water that was inside one of the cavities of a floating mattress. It wasn't boiling hot and there was no permanent harm done, we comforted her and kept playing but my wife and I stuck our hand in that hot water and couldn't believe the temperature it had reached. It was hot!

Maybe this could be used in some way, we chatted, like some floating gadget filling and dumping with a pendulum powered by sun, bla, bla, bla. We were getting too much sun. This was 15 years ago. It would be years before we did something about it. But we talked that night about inventing this product and the impact it could have for the whole world. We thought of the danger, expense and pollution that we were part of using our natural gas fired heater and the hundreds of dollars we were spending every summer to heat the pool. Now we have a choice.

Here's what our unit looks like more or less it cost us almost $1000 bucks a while ago, now they cost more, but the gas bills every month were unmentionable. We still use it if we have many days of cloudy weather, which here in Michigan are plenty, but our Dual Heater saves us bundles.
